Grupo Inmobiliario del Lago (GIL) has been serving Lake Chapala area real estate buyers and sellers for 12 years, and currently represents 12 Broker offices and more than 100 Realtor Associates. GIL organizes training and examinations for all new agents before they can become members of the association and provides continuing education courses.
All Broker offices are expected to be aware of current events that effect the real estate market, including changes in tax laws, immigration rules and regulations, tax exemptions and liabilities, capital gains taxes and laws that effect the legal status of properties. Additionally, GIL works closely with local authorities to assist with future planning, zoning and development of the shores of Lake Chapala.
All member Brokers and Realtor Associates of the GIL must be in possession of a current GIL Credential, either provisional or annual, issued by the association. Additionally, all GIL Brokers and Realtor Associates are required to conduct all business in accordance with Mexican law, GIL Bylaws, and the GIL Code of Ethics & Standards of Practice. |
